Versatile Hunting Dogs

OUR PUPPIES receive early scent imprinting.
When they go home to their new owners, puppies will be SPECIALIZED FOR TRACKING, DEN WORK and field trials AND WILL ONLY go to WORKING/HUNTING DOG HOMES.
OUR PUPPIES NEED TO LIVE AS FAMILY MEMBER INSIDE A HOME;
THEY ARE NOT BACKYARD COMPANIONS OR KENNEL DOGS.
IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ONE OF OUR PUPPIES, PLEASE FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF
WITH THE sTANDARD wIRE-hAIRED daCHSHUND bREED AND THE ART OF rAISING A PUPPY.

Our breeding females are tested for immunity through a nomograph before puppies arrive.
we only vaccinate according to the veterinary immunology specialist's recommendations for puppy immunizations according to the dam's antibody count and consecutively puppy's antibody count for parvovirus and distemper. After a puppy's basic vaccines, annual titer tests are done.
This way each individual puppy will be vaccinated at the Time the body is most receptible to immunization and will not be over-vaccinated.
potential OWNER SELECTION PROCESS
future owners Have to demonstrate their level of responsibility for a new puppy. Responsible potential new dachshund owners will have the opportunity to learn through our webinars and reading recommendations, as well continuing engagement with us as breeders.
we do not agree to spay/neuter a healthy dog.
our dogs have a high drive.
Experience has shown that they are unsuitable for pet homes.
we will carefully select, which puppy would match to a certain future owner on our waiting list.
We Do not have application forms as we think that individual homes need personal and individual consideration.

creating a family
giving one of our puppies a home, makes you part of the ahornzwinger family.
We are happy to assist you with your training and well-being questions for your puppy's lifetime.
In return, we ask for your experience.
All owners of ahornzwinger puppies will be asked to participate in regular surveys, health reports, notes on training experiences and successes.
This will help our future breed planning and monitoring of genetic health and work ability.
WE ENCOURAGE SERIOUSLY INTERESTED
